Karen Gallagher is the Environment and Sustainability Adviser at the University of Exeter and is responsible for improving the environmental performance of the University and linking sustainability research and operational activities. Karen has over 20 years’ experience as an environmental practitioner. Previous roles include Energy Manager at the University of Bristol and Energy Consultant with a large engineering consultancy. She is a Full Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) and a Chartered Environmentalist. Karen was previously the Regional Chair for the Southwest IEMA Regional Steering Group and a member of IEMA’s Professional Standards Committee. Karen is passionate about sustainability and looking forward to connecting with DEBI members in order to share ideas and develop best practice.
